2 Chainz rented the house earlier this year to promote the release of his latest LP, Pretty Girls Like Trap Music, and subsequently painted the house and several surrounding objects bright pink to match the album's cover artwork. The rapper also hosted a highly publicized listening party at the location for a select group of fans to come preview the album around the time of its release.

2 Chainz also grabbed recent headlines when he decided to give back to his community by opening the house as a free HIV/AIDS screening center for local residents on the 4th of July, a move intended to help call national attention and promote a dialogue around the rising prevalence of the disease in Atlanta.

The site remained a popular local tourist attraction until the rapper's lease on the property ended in mid-July. The building's owner has since reportedly sold the house and the new owners are planning to repaint and remodel the building back into a  residential structure.
