Late GRAMMY-winning soul songstress Amy Winehouse has recieved yet another posthumous honon. She was announced as the latest inductee to Camden, England's Music Walk Of Fame. Camden Town's own ska legends Madness and GRAMMY-winning R&B/dance group Soul II Soul were also announced as inductees.

The inductions will take place next week, as Winehouse, Madness and Soul II Soul will join The Who, the first act inducted into the Camden Walk Of Fame when it launched in November 2019.

Winehouse’s parents Mitch and Janis said of the honor, “We all know how much Amy adored her beloved Camden, so how fitting that her name is now part of the very fabric of the place she loved. To be part of the ‘Music Walk of Fame’ is such a great honour. We’re absolutely delighted that Amy’s musical legacy is being celebrated in this way.”

Madness also weighed in on being selected for the hometown honor, saying, “Camden Town has always been a hot bed of culture and music and we had the great privilege to have been given lift off from this great town. Without Camden we would have been nothing so it’s a great honour to be the recipients of the Music Walk of Fame stone. Thank you.”

The honorary plaques will be unveiled between March 2-6 with special performances in tribute of the inductees.

Stateside, Winehouse's style is the subject of a special exhibit that opened in January during GRAMMY Week at the GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles. Beyond Black — The Style Of Amy Winehouse is open now through April 13. For more information, visit the GRAMMY Museum website
