  • "Born Kenneth Brian Edmonds on April 10, 1959 in Indianapolis, Indiana
     
  • Kenneth Edmonds found his greatest success when he teamed with his friend and musical collaborator Antonio "L.A." Reid to form LaFace Records in 1989. Babyface's songwriting and production skills helped achieve breakthrough success for three of the label's first signings: TLC, Usher and Toni Braxton. As a solo artist, Babyface has had success with such albums as Tender Lover (1989) and The Day (1996), and as a producer and/or writer he has scored hits for artists such as Madonna, Beyoncé, Michael Jackson, and Boyz II Men, among others. 
     
  • Babyface won his first two GRAMMYs at the 35th GRAMMY Awards for Producer Of The Year, Non-Classical, alongside Reid, and Best Rhythm & Blues Song for Boyz II Men's "End Of The Road." He performed his solo hit "When Can I See You Again" at the 37th GRAMMY Awards in 1995.
     
  • Did you know? Edmonds was given the nickname Babyface by legendary funk bassist Bootsy Collins.
     
  • Babyface performed at the MusiCares MAP Fund tribute to Smokey Robinson in 2016, an event that raises funds to provide financial and supportive assistance for music people in need of addiction recovery services.
     
  • Babyface actively supports the Carousel of Hope, which benefits the Children’s Diabetes Foundation, as well as the Keep Memory Alive organization, which supports patients and families facing the challenges of brain disorders.
