Biography
"Music is my way out. I keep things locked up and never say anything. I guess in order to say something to one person, I have to sing it to a couple thousand. It doesn't make for healthy relationships." — Florence Welch

- Led by Florence Welch, Florence & The Machine had a tremendous global impact with "Dog Days Are Over," the second single from their 2009 debut album, Lungs. The song was heard on the TV shows "Gossip Girl" and "Glee" and in the hit film Eat, Pray, Love.
- Welch sang the soul classic "Think" as a part of an Aretha Franklin tribute that opened the 53rd GRAMMY Awards show in 2011, performing alongside fellow singers Christina Aguilera, Martina McBride, Jennifer Hudson, and Yolanda Adams.
