- The band's debut album, Vampire Weekend, reached No. 17 on the Billboard 200.
- Vampire Weekend won their first GRAMMY for 2013 for Best Alternative Music Album for their third studio album, Modern Vampires Of The City
- The band's name was inspired by the title of a short film project frontman Ezra Koenig worked on during the summer between freshman and sophomore years in college.
- In 2014 the band performed at the annual GRAMMY In The Schools Live! concert with members of GRAMMY Camp — Jazz Session during GRAMMY Week.
