Former lead singer of UK rock band Bad Company, Brian Anthony Howe has died at the age of 66. According to reports and confirmed by his manager Paul Easton, the band’s frontman was found suffering from cardiac arrest at his home in Florida on Tuesday.  

After a brief conversation with EMT’s, it is stated that the artist passed on his way to the hospital. The renowned singer had previously suffered a heart attack in 2017.

With distinctive vocals and a dynamic knack for songwriting and lyricism, Howe originally rose to notoriety after contributing lead vocals on Ted Nugent’s Penetrator.

Howe then joined Bad Company two years later in 1986, replacing its previous lead vocalist Paul Rodgers. He performed and recorded with the group for nearly a decade before a public split with the band, thereafter pursuing a solo career.

Howe is best-known for leading the group on albums including 1986’s Fame and Fortune, the UK Top 40 charting and Platinum-selling record Holy Water released in 1990 and the band’s popular live album What You Hear Is What You Get from 1993. His solo discography additionally spans three albums, Tangled In Blue, Touch and Circus Bar.

In a statement his son Michael wrote, "I feel we are all put in this world for a reason. The passion for music was my father’s, and I am so happy that his legacy will live on."
