While strolling through the watery wreckage of a perhaps once-happy home, Billie Eilish eased into her haunting song “Happier Than Ever,” from her GRAMMY-nominated 2021 album of the same name, while wearing an oversized Taylor Hawkins tee in mourning.

But the quietude was deceiving: after climbing the roof, she and brother/collaborator FINNEAS brought the tune to a hair-raising climax amid heavy weather, complete with a cooking guitar solo.

The performance marks a major GRAMMYs for Eilish — for “Happier Than Ever,” she’s nominated for Record Of The Year, Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Music Video. She’s also nominated for Best Music Film, for Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter To Los Angeles.
