Ronda Racha Penrice
Ronda Racha Penrice is a veteran writer, whose music journalism roots date back to Rap Pages in L.A. and Creative Loafing in Atlanta, as well as VIBE, Urban Network, Music Industry Quarterly and The Source, among others. She is the author of both 'African American History For Dummies' (2007) and 'Black American History For Dummies' (2021) and the editor of the essay book 'Cracking The Wire During Black Lives Matter,' which is about the iconic HBO series. The Chicago native with deep Mississippi roots is a Columbia University alum who also attended M.A. programs at NYU and the University of Mississippi. As a producer, the longtime Atlanta resident's credits include serving as researcher, on-camera expert and associate producer of Hulu's 'Freaknik: The Wildest Party Never Told' and associate producer of 'HBO First Look: All Eyez on Me,' among others.
