Every now and then, music and science get a little bit lonely. However, Bonnie Tyler will turn that around when she performs her GRAMMY-nominated hit "Total Eclipse Of The Heart" during the solar eclipse on Aug. 21.

Her performance, which will be backed by Joe Jonas' DNCE collective, will take place aboard ... wait for it ... Royal Caribbean's Total Eclipse Cruise. According to Time, the performance will take place at the very moment the "moon sails across the sun."
Appropriately, the song is quite popular when an eclipse beckons. Spotify reported a 75 percent increase in streams of the song following the March 2016 eclipse. Meanwhile, the video of the song is gobbling up views, currently sitting north of 303 million.
Penned and produced by Jim Steinman, "Total Eclipse Of The Heart" garnered Tyler a nod for Best Pop Vocal Performance, Female at the 26th GRAMMY Awards in 1984, a show during which she performed the No. 2 hit. The award ultimately went to "Flashdance...What A Feeling" by Irene Cara.
For those not fortunate enough to attend the cruise, at least there will be YouTube. Meanwhile, The New York Times has published a helpful tutorial for those looking for a few tips on how to best view the solar eclipse on Aug. 21.
