Nigerian Afro-fusion singer-songwriter Burna Boy has announced dates for his Twice As Tall world tour. The 30-date trek will take the African Giant to theaters and venues across the U.S. in the spring followed by a European run throughout the summer. The tour also includes multiple performances at major festivals like Roots Picnic in Philadelphia, Pa., Glastonbury and Wireless in the U.K., Lollapalooza Paris in France, Osheaga in Montreal, Canada, and more.
Burna Boy has kept super busy over the past 12 months. In 2019, he performed at Coachella and featured on Beyoncé's The Lion King: The Gift, the soundtrack album to the 2019 Lion King remake, which featured emerging African and Afrobeats artists. Last July, he released African Giant, his fourth album, which was nominated for Best World Music Album at the 62nd GRAMMY Awards last month.
"This is basically my way of showing you who I am and in the process helping you to listen and know who you are," Burna Boy said about African Giant in an interview with the Recording Academy last year. "My vision is just to… shine a light on a place and on people and a situation and everything that there hasn't been a light on for a long time."
