CMT's "Crossroads" has played host to some amazing artist collaborations over the years.  From Lucinda Williams and Elvis Costello on the program's 2002 debut, to Taylor Swift and Def Leppard, to Maren Morris and Alicia Keys in more recent episodes, the show's oftentimes unlikely pairings have always made for tremendous musical moments. Now, for their first episode of 2018, the network has announced its first pairing as GRAMMY Legend and GRAMMY Award-winning Motown star Smokey Robinson alongside GRAMMY-nominated country songstress Cam.

As a singer, songwriter, record producer, and record executive across a career spanning over 60 years, Robinson had a hand in some of Motown's biggest hits -- whether performing, as in the case of his years with the Miracles releasing tracks such as "Tracks of My Tears," or writing, as in the case the countless hit he penned for the Temptations, including "My Girl."  Robinson won his first career GRAMMY for Best R&B Vocal Performance, Male at the 30th GRAMMY Awards, and later was selected to receive the prestigious GRAMMY Legend and Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement honors at the 33rd GRAMMY Awards and 42nd GRAMMY Awards, respectively.

For her own part, Cam became a household name in 2015 when her tack "Burning House," which climbed to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and broke into the Top 40 of the Hot 100, was certified platinum by the RIAA, and became the highest-selling female country song of the year, according to Billboard. Prior to finding success as a solo artist, Cam also made a name for herself writing hits for artists like Miley Cyrus and Sam Smith.

Cam and Robinson's new episode of "Crossroads" will premiere on Wednesday, Mar. 28, on CMT.
