MAD stands for Murphy Arts District and represents years of loving cultivation by local leaders under the direction of Terry Stewart, who in addition to having been an elected officer with the Recording Academy's Chicago Chapter, is a former president of Marvel Comics and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. When he began four years ago, he declared his excitement and that El Dorado was an "exceptional town."

It has two acres of grounds for families and kids, and has been attracting steadily growing regional audiences. With this lineup, MAD's generating some real excitement.
