Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino, along with co-writers Ludwig Göransson and Jeffery Lamar Williams, won Song Of The Year for "This Is America" at 61st GRAMMY Awards

"This Is America" took home a total of four GRAMMYs over the evening, also winning Record Of The Year, Best Music Video and Best Rap/Sung Performance.

The powerful hit beat out fellow nominated tracks for Song Of The Year:

"The Joke" written by Brandi Carlile, Dave Cobb, Phil Hanseroth and Tim Hanseroth (performed by Carlile)

"The Middle" written by Sarah Aarons, Jordan K. Johnson, Stefan Johnson, Marcus Lomax, Kyle Trewartha, Michael Trewartha and Anton Zaslavski (performed by ZeddMaren Morris and Grey)

"Shallow" written by Lady Gaga, Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando and Andrew Wyatt (performed by Gaga and Bradley Cooper).

Glover earned his first GRAMMY win at the 60th GRAMMY Awards, for Best Traditional R&B Performance for "Redbone," from Awaken, My Love! He  received his first GRAMMY nominations for Best Rap Album for his sophmore LP, Because The Internet, and Best Rap Performance for "3005," from the album, at the 57th GRAMMY Awards.
