The New Jersey-born, Texas-raised singer/songwriter is hard at work crafting a musical theater production that will borrow its title and several key songs from his 1995 holiday-themed album Looking For Christmas.
Black and his team have scheduled the first industry reading of the play's forthcoming script – which centers on the story of a young veteran struggling with PTSD working to reconnect with his wife and daughter – for Dec. 4 in New York.
Already signed on to help guide the project are Kent Nicholson, director, and music supervisor Charles Vincent Burwell.
