Best known in the music world as the subject of Johnny Cash's 1955 song and recording site of the GRAMMY-winner's legendary 1968 live album, Folsom Prison and its inmates received another very special visit recently.
GRAMMY-winning rapper Common continued his quest to lift up those around him with a special performance at Folsom State Prison recently as part of his Imagine Justice initiative.
This performance comes on the heels of a series of concerts all focused on advocating for criminal justice reform. Alongside J. Cole, Common gave a free concert in Sacramento's Capitol Mall and the rapper/actor also embarked on a four-day prison tour called The Hope & Redemption Tour, which the star documented in a web series on his YouTube page.
