GRAMMY winners Dave Matthews Band announced today that they've planned an “evening of music and unity” in their hometown of Charlottesville, Va., an event they are calling A Concert For Charlottesville.

The evening is planned to show solidarity in the wake of last month’s violent protests. The all-star lineup tapped for the evening includes GRAMMY winners Pharrell Williams, Justin Timberlake, the Roots, Cage The Elephant, Brittany Howard, and Chris Stapleton, as well as GRAMMY nominee Ariana Grande, and several still-unannounced special guests.

Tickets to the event will be free, with priority selection given to local residents and UVA students; however, all attendees are encouraged to donate to the newly-formed “Concert for Charlottesville Fund” at the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation. Beneficiaries of the charity will include victims of the Charlottesville protest and their families, first responders, and “organizations devoted to the promotion of healing, unity and justice locally and nationwide.”

The event will be held on Sept. 24 at UVA's Scott Stadium in Charlottesville, Va. Tickets requests can be made now through Sept. 11 via the Concert for Charlottesville website, and a very limited number of additional tickets will be available for request in person at the John Paul Jones Arena beginning Friday, Sept. 15 at 10 a.m.
