On Tuesday (Feb. 11), GRAMMY-winning metal band Deftones announced that they will embark on a 28-date North American summer tour this year.
The tour will mark Deftones’ first shows on the road since 2017. In 2018, the group launched their own San Diego-based festival, Dia De Los Deftones, which has featured acts like Chvrches, GRAMMY-winning rapper Future, Doja Cat and JPEGMAFIA on its lineups.
Kicking off on July 27 at The Moda Center in Portland, the Deftones’ run of shows will continue through Sept. 5, when the tour will wrap with a Denver stop at The Pepsi Center.
With stops in Las Vegas, Toronto and Washington D.C., the tour will also feature special guests, GRAMMY-nominated French heavy metal band Gojira and singer-songwriter Poppy.
In an interview with NBC San Diego last year, Deftones confirmed that they are in progress finishing up their next studio album which is expected to release this year. The new record will be the band’s first studio album since 2016’s Gore.
Tickets for the upcoming tour will be available on Friday (2/14) at 1 p.m. local time on Deftones.com.
