Demi Lovato and The Trevor Project want LGBTQ and questioning youth to know that "Pride isn't going anywhere because Pride is everywhere."
The national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ youth and the "I Love Me" singer are on a mission to remind young people that although many will not be able to celebrate Pride month in June with a visible community around them due to COVID-19, pride is still around them.
The Pride Everywhere campaign seeks to empower the LGBTQ youth "isolated from affirming communities" and is "an opportunity to reflect and show solidarity for the most marginalized members of the LGBTQ community," according to a statement noting the rise of outreach from youth to The Trevor Project crisis services programs. The pandemic has caused serious implications for the mental health of community members due to social distancing, housing instability and more.

Hundreds of Pride events have been canceled around the world following safety measures to stop the spread of the coronavirus. As The Trevor Project notes, regardless of today's circumstances, LGBTQ youth lack access to Pride celebrations in some parts of the country and the reality of the pandemic may make it even tougher to celebrate at home.
"Pride isn’t just about parades, it’s about celebrating what makes our LGBTQ community thrive," CEO and Executive Director of The Trevor Project Amit Paley said. "It’s about finding our strength even in times of challenge, sharing our joy even in moments of pain, and creating space to express and celebrate who we are."
The campaign doesn't just serve as a verbal reminder; it is also providing a #PrideEverywhere filter for members of the community and allies to place on photos for websites and social media. The organization said it would also be partnering with more talent to celebrate.
"This season, 'Pride Everywhere' is the message we at The Trevor Project are sharing with the LGBTQ young people we serve, and those who support them. 'Pride Everywhere' is about remembering what’s at the heart of our community—values we live every day, and values the world needs so much right now," a statement on the website said.
