Don't mess with GRAMMY nominee Demi Lovato. Just two days after singing the national anthem to open the fight between Floyd "Money" Mayweather and Conor "The Notorious" McGregor, the singer/songwriter has announced her own martial arts mastery.

Lovato earned her blue belt in the Brazilian art of jiu jitsu, which focuses on ground fighting and grappling. A blue belt for an adult recognizes the first advancement level from beginner to intermediate fighter. Lovato announced the achievement on Instagram, adding she has been practicing the martial art for the last year.

"I'm so beyond excited because I just received my blue belt in #brazilianjiujitsu," Lovato said. "I fell in love with #BJJ over a year ago and have been training several times a week ever since."

A force to be reckoned with in the music world, it's clear Lovato is dedicated to personal empowerment in all aspects of her life.

"I'm more proud of the work [Demi Lovato] puts in with nobody watching than I am what she does with the world watching," said Jay Glazer, the owner of Unbreakable Performance, the gym where Lovato trains. "Congrats on achieving your blue belt today in #bjj, YOU put the grind in!"
