What is Taylor Swift up to? A mysterious series of events has the social media-sphere in a tizzy.
It started on Aug. 18 when all of Swift's social media channels — Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Tumblr — went dark. Her official website went just as dark, like a "Blank Space" that was just wiped clean. This alerted dedicated Swifties that something might be up.
Now, this morning Swift gave us a big hint, or did she?

The GRAMMY winner posted a cryptic, short video clip on her social channels, breaking her silence. What did she post? It looks like a lizard tail swishing while cutting in and out of VHS video tape static. That's the only clue — she's offered nothing more than this cryptic image.
Swift has released an album every two years since her self-titled debut album in 2006. Her last album, the Album Of The Year GRAMMY-winning 1989, arrived in 2014. This means Swift is a year overdue for her next album, and fans think we're finally getting close.
So what do you think? Is Swift's mysterious social media post a clue about new music? Or something else entirely? Only time will tell — hopefully, we don't have to wait long.
