You know how when you plug your iPhone into your car and it automatically plays the alphabetical first song on your playlist every. single. time.? Well, as BuzzFeed staff writer Samir Mezrahi pointed out last year, it's ruining those "A"-alphabetical songs for legions of iPhone users.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">hey <a href="https://twitter.com/alroker">@alroker</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/MLauer">@MLauer</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hodakotb">@hodakotb</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/SavannahGuthrie">@SavannahGuthrie</a> let&#39;s talk about it <a href="https://t.co/Shg9GDSpuX">https://t.co/Shg9GDSpuX</a></p>&mdash; #1 samir (@samir) <a href="https://twitter.com/samir/status/897503777086885891">August 15, 2017</a></blockquote><script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Luckily, Mezrahi decided to take action with "A A A A A Very Good Song." Containing just under 10 minutes of silence, for $0.99 users can purchase Mezrahi's track, which will play first on your iPhone, and choose tunes in silence as opposed to hearing whatever is first on the playlist.

Released on Aug. 7 under Kale Salad Records, the song currently sits at No. 35 on the iTunes songs chart, indicating that a lot of people are looking to improve their iPhone experience with this ingenious release.

If recorded silence is your speed, you might want to check out YouTube videos of Recording Academy Trustees Award recipient John Cage's famous "4'33" composition, in which a musician walks onstage, takes their seat at the piano and then allows four minutes and 33 seconds of silence to elapse.

While Cage wanted to make a point that ambient sounds could be music too, Mezrahi has a different purpose.

"So many people have grown to hate these songs they really like," Mezrahi told The Star. "I wanted [the track] to be long to give people enough time to pick their song."
