GRAMMY-nominated country duo Florida Georgia Line are doing their part to support those in need during the coronavirus crisis. Wednesday (Mar. 18), Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley announced that they will offer financial support to employees of their Nashville-based restaurant FGL House, in order to alleviate work lost during the coronavirus crisis. In lieu of the restaurant’s subsequent closure, the "Meant To Be" vocalists will offer a total of $117k in donations, with each staff member receiving a safety net stipend of $1,000.
Originally opened in the summer of 2017 and stationed in the heart of Downtown Nashville, FGL House is a kitchen and bar offering "Southern cuisine with a Californian flair," live music and DJs, Sunday brunches and a downstairs nightclub, the Little Red Corvette.
The two artists took to Instagram to announce their initiative in a post, saying "FGL House would be nothing without our amazing staff. We know it takes a village, and we’re so thankful for all 117 of you and we hope this helps out while the bar and restaurant are closed."
In the video, Hubbard and Kelley continued to express their gratitude and willingness to pitch in. "We very very vividly remember what it’s like to be in the service industry, being a server, being a bartender and to rely on tips to pay the bills,” said Hubbard. “We know that everybody is probably a little stressed out during this time so we hope that we can help out."

According to the duo, their donation was originally inspired by GRAMMY-nominated country star Dierks Bentley, who committed to giving $1,000 to each of the 90 hourly employees at his Whiskey Row restaurant earlier this week.
In response to COVID-19, FGL House officially closed its doors until further notice as of last Sunday (Mar. 15).
