Country-legend Garth Brooks and the University of Notre Dame have set the date — October 20th — for the first-ever music concert at the legendary Notre Dame Stadium, built in 1930 and designed with historic coach Knute Rockne's active participation.
"I look forward to bringing a new kind of crazy to the party," said Brooks. Confessing to "goose bumps" in anticipation, University Associate Vice President for Event Management Lee Sicinski shared, "It's our understanding that Garth loves to do things that haven't been done before." The teaser videos definitely suggest Brooks will be going for heavy impact.
"Right from the outset, I just felt that Garth represents Notre Dame's values," said University Executive Vice President John Affleck-Graves. "He is the perfect choice as the first artist to perform in concert in the stadium that Rockne built. This promises to be one of the biggest events in Notre Dame's history."
Brooks won Best Country Vocal Performance, Male for "Ropin' The Wind" at the 34th GRAMMY Awards, and Best Country Collaboration With Vocals with Trisha Yearwood for "In Another's Eyes" at the 40th GRAMMY Awards.

On June 18 Brooks announced the single "All Day Long," the first preview of his upcoming but unscheduled next album, available for pre-order.
