The full-length documentary Louder Together: A Global Citizen Documentary; New York To Mumbai will be released on Sept. 13 via Verizon's free go90.com service. Its trailer gives a glimpse of how major GRAMMY winners are uniting behind this effort to build a people-powered movement "for a global generation that wants to solve the world's biggest challenges."
Actor Hugh Jackman's narration offers the focus that "it's not about giving money; rather, time and action are the currency of this movement."
For Kendrick Lamar, his involvement is all about "the kids" who are coming up. Rihanna congratulated the Mumbai audience for making a difference in their communities — 80 percent of the seats were awarded free to people who took action. The trailer closes on India's audience welcoming Jay Z as he strides onstage amplifying Global Citizen's call.
Last year's participants also included Ellie Goulding, Demi Lovato, Major Lazer, Metallica, Usher, Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder, and a Central Park audience of 60,000.
"When you bring a big festival in, then politicians become interested in being involved," said Chris Martin. "That's when changes start to happen."
This movement demonstrates that "a thousand points of light" can be multiplied worldwide, so catch these celebrities' message that making change happen is about everybody, including you.
