As a 2015 GRAMMY Amplifier winner, Maryland-based R&B singer/songwriter Cramer earned the opportunity to perform on a multicity tour, including a date in conjunction with a major festival. In this exclusive behind-the-scenes video, Cramer discusses her desire to communicate through the arts, receiving advice from GRAMMY-winning reggae artist Ziggy Marley and what she learned from her tour, which included stops in Chicago and Washington, D.C.

"We recorded every performance. I would watch the footage a million times — build upon it every single time," said Cramer. "I definitely think that [at my final show] I had to express myself. I had to really be vulnerable at some point."

As part of her GRAMMY Amplifier prize package, Cramer (born Akeira Cramer) performed at Rolling Stone's Live: Chicago event in conjunction with Lollapalooza; the Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival in Wantaugh, N.Y.; a headlining show in Washington, D.C.; and at venues in Austin, Texas, and San Diego.

Cramer is one of three winners of the third annual GRAMMY Amplifier program, along with ChinahBlac and Wes-Tone. The winners were chosen by Amplifier ambassador and GRAMMY winner Mark Ronson and this year's program curators — Marley, GRAMMY winners the Band Perry and singer/songwriter Allen Stone.
