The GRAMMY Museum rolled up in Memphis, Tenn., this week to give music programs at two high schools a much-needed boost.

On May 9, students at Fairley High School learned about opportunities ahead during GRAMMY Career Day. The program offers young people a full day with music pros, including artists, managers and concert promoters, who share how they got started for students considering a future in music.

Nearby, Memphis' Overton High School participated in its own GRAMMY Career Day on May 10 with singer/songwriter Latina Smith. The school also received a $5,500 grant as a recipient of a 2017 GRAMMY Signature Schools Enterprise Award, which will provide critical funding for Overton's music programs.

Of the musical opportunities the GRAMMY Museum presented this week, Fairley High School senior Jala Moore told WMC Action News 5 she learned, "Never give up on your dream. Always push forward and never say what you can't do. Always do your best."
