On May 7, Jason Aldean released the latest single from his fresh new album, Rearview Town. Titled "Drowns The Whiskey," the soulful country track also features harmonizing vocals from none other than GRAMMY winner Miranda Lambert.
"We've come up in the business together, toured together a lot early on in my career, and we've always been friends, so I wanted to do something with her on this record," Aldean told Rolling Stone Country. "The thing about her is she's a great singer, but she's also a great harmony singer. … On this [song], we cranked her up where it's pretty in your face. We wanted it to be apparent that she was on the song."
This collaboration marks the second time Lambert has guested on one of Aldean's albums. The pair teamed up for "Grown Woman" from Aldean's 2007 album Relentless.
