The dynamic singer/songwriter and guitarist H.E.R.'s battle cry "Fight For You" from Judas and the Black Messiah won Best Original Song at the 2021 Oscars. 

The film is up for five Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Supporting Actor.

In a lead-up to her performance of the song at the "Oscars: Into the Spotlight" 2021 Oscars pre-show special, an aglow H.E.R. said, "I'm really excited for people to see it," and "It's very powerful and important to me."
