Metal pioneers Iron Maiden are still crushing arenas around the world well into the fourth decade of their musical career.
The huge success of their 2016–2017 world tour in support of their 16th (!) studio album, Book Of Souls, erased any doubt that fans around the world are still ravenous for more of Maiden's signature metal sound. This week, the band have announced plans for a new celebratory best-of tour encompassing a 34-show run across Europe in summer 2018.
The band's manager Rod Smallwood has hinted that the concept for Iron Maiden's Legacy Of The Beast tour will feature set designs showcasing a series of interconnected "worlds" and a set list stacked full of '80s hits and fan favorites, plus a few key surprises.
"For this History/Hits tour we decided to base the theme around the 'Legacy Of The Beast' name, which suits our purposes perfectly by giving us scope to get creative and have some fun," explained Smallwood. "We hope to give our fans a fantastic experience when they come to see this very special show."
