GRAMMY winner Jay Z's streaming service Tidal has announced its third annual benefit concert, and this year proceeds will benefit those impacted by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria, as well as those affected by the Mexico City earthquake.
While performers have yet to be announced, all money raised from the concert will be donated to organizations such as Global Giving, All Hands Volunteers, Kids in Need Foundation, Direct Relief, One America Appeal, Greater Houston Community Foundation, American Civil Liberties Union, and Miami Community Foundation.
This marks the third year Tidal has hosted a benefit concert. In 2015 proceeds from the Beyoncé, Jay Z, Prince, and Usher-helmed show were donated to social justice-related charities. The 2016 edition, headlined by Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Lauryn Hill, and Common, supported New York City education efforts. In total, Tidal has reportedly raised more than $3 million for its causes.
The benefit will be held Oct. 17 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. Fans and those who wish to support hurricane relief efforts can purchase tickets starting Sept. 22 via Tidal's website.
