Not only is Jennifer Lopez encouraging fans to donate critical funding to Puerto Rico in the wake of the devastation from Hurricane Maria, she followed through with a $1 million donation of her own.
On Sept. 24 Lopez flew to New York to join New York Governor Andrew Cuomo in announcing aid and relief funding for Puerto Rico.

"Alex Roriguez and I, who are both New Yorkers, are using all our resources and relationships in entertainment, sports and business to garner support for Puerto Rico and the Caribbean," said Lopez. "We are working day and night to identify the needs."
The New York Yankees and Major League Baseball have already contributed to the cause. Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and Puerto Rican Mavericks player J.J. Barea are also joining in and reportedly have two planes packed with aid and generators ready to send to Puerto Rico.
In addition to her aid to Puerto Rico, she and GRAMMY winner Marc Anthony are working together to provide resources to the Caribbean and Mexico as fast as possible with the help of more than 30 artists and athletes.
