GRAMMY- and Latin GRAMMY-winning Spanish singer/songwriter Alejandro Sanz is the Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year honoree for 2017. To celebrate his contributions to music and culture, as well as his ongoing philanthropic efforts, an exclusive benefit gala will be held in his honor at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on Nov. 15.
The star-studded evening will feature an amazing group of performers who will pay tribute to Sanz tremendous musical output. The lineup of performers includes Latin GRAMMY winners such as David Bisbal, Alejandro Fernández, Residente, Luis Fonsi, Juan Luis Guerra, Jesse & Joy, Juanes, Natalia Lafourcade, Gian Marco, Niña Pastori, and Jimmy Zambrano, as well as Camila Cabello, Santiago Cruz, Mon Laferte, and Manuel Fernández Montoya "El Carpeta," Rosalía.
How The Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation Is Making A Difference
Proceeds from the gala will support the charitable work of the Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation, which endeavors to further international awareness and appreciation of the significant contributions of Latin music and its makers to the world's culture through scholarships, fellowships, grants, and educational programs.
