Keith Urban's year just keeps getting better.

Fresh off two GRAMMY nominations in February and a stellar performance at The Recording Academy's Bee Gees special, the country rocker nabbed four nominations for this year's CMT Music Awards, tying Kelsea Ballerini and Thomas Rhett for most nominations.

Urban earned nods for Social Superstar of the Year, Video of the Year and Male Video of the Year for "Blue Ain't Your Color. He also earned a nomination for Collaborative Video of the Year with Carrie Underwood for "The Fighter," which the duo performed at the 59th GRAMMYs.

"Blue Ain't Your Color" and "The Fighter" are singles from Urban's most recent GRAMMY-nominated album, Ripcord, which was certified platinum by the RIAA, making Urban the second country artist in history to release nine or more platinum-certified records. In addition, Ripcord was one of only two country music albums released in 2016 to sell the equivalent of 1 million units. It's no wonder The Tennessean called Urban "Mr. Platinum."

Urban's successes this year have also included recognition for his philanthropic efforts. In April, The Recording Academy honored his contributions to the music community and support for music education with the Recording Artists' Coalition Award at the 2017 GRAMMYs on the Hill Awards.

But for Urban, championing music education, breaking sales records and earning awards nominations are all part of a good day's work.

"I love making music," Urban told The Tennessean.  "I love writing. I love playing. I love all the things I get to do."
