LGBTQ lovers have been doing it everywhere on their own since the beginning of time — changing pronouns in their favorite songs for the perfect serenade to their partner. Now a group of artists has taken this on themselves in the form of creating a new LGBTQ-affirmative EP, Universal Love.

With help from Kesha, St. Vincent, Bob Dylan, Death Cab For Cutie's Benjamin Gibbard, Valerie June, and Bloc Party's Kele Okereke, a selection of six classics got a pronoun overhaul on the EP.
Take, for example, Dylan's "She's Funny That Way," which is now "He's Funny That Way," or Kesha transposing Janis Joplin's "I Need A Man To Love Me" into "I Need A Woman To Love Me." The EP also includes remakes of songs by the Beatles, the Temptations and the Crystals.
"We believe projects like this will help all of us reach a point where seeing the world through the lens of people who happen to be different from us becomes natural and commonplace," said MGM Resorts' Phyllis James, representing the company producing the album.
