If you've ever attended Los Angeles Pride in West Hollywood, Calif., you'll know it's typically a boy's town and programming representing those who identify as LGBTQ women always seems to be an afterthought. This year, however, the festival's performance roster looks to be trying to establish a different standard with a female-driven lineup.

On April 4 the Christopher Street West-produced festival announced its latest spate of artists who will be celebrating the LGBTQ community in Los Angeles on June 9–10, and they include Kim Petras, Icona Pop, Eve, Natalia Jimenez, and Keri Hilson. These artists join previously announced headliners Tove Lo and Kehlani. Additional performers have yet to be announced.

Icona Pop and Petras will head to the festival's Park Stage on June 9 and Hilson will take the stage the same night at Boulevard Stage. On June 10 Eve will perform at Park Stage while Jimenez will show the crowd how it's done at Plaza Stage. Kehlani will perform her headlining set on June 9 and Tove Lo on June 10, both at Park Stage.

"2018 is already proving to be the year of the woman," the festival's programming lead Gregory Alexander said in a statement. "Female empowerment is more important than ever. These beautifully diverse artists embody everything that L.A. Pride 2018 represents, a celebration of self-expression and authenticity."

Tickets for L.A. Pride's festival can be purchased via their website.
