GRAMMY winner Lady Gaga has been a pioneering artist since the beginning of her career, from her out-of-the-box Fame Monster persona to her awe-inspiring chameleon-like ability to transform from pop sensation to a crooner of standards with Tony Bennett at the drop of a (top) hat.

With her latest reinvention into alter-ego Joanne and the accompanying album and world tour, Gaga is set to make a new kind of history, this time for women. On Aug. 25 she will headline a tour stop at the famed Wrigley Field in Chicago, the first woman ever to do so in the ballpark's venerable history.

As hard as it is to believe, since 2007 the home of the Chicago Cubs has hosted huge acts from the likes of Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, Dave Matthews Band, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Billy Joel, and Green Day, among others, but never a woman.

Now it's time for a Lady to take the stage and show Chitown how it's done. There's no doubt Mother Monster will knock their (baseball) socks off.
