This fall, pop icon Lady Gaga will release a new anthology book, "Channel Kindness: Stories Of Kindness And Community." Out Sept. 22 via her Born This Way Foundation (BTWF)—the nonprofit organization she and her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, founded in 2011—the forthcoming book comprises 51 essays written by contributors to BTWF's Channel Kindness initiative, the foundation's digital platform.

"Channel Kindness," which also includes personal notes from Mother Monster herself, features "inspirational stories written by young people" that "prove that kindness saves lives, builds community, and is a transformational force with never-ending ripple effects," Gaga's mom said about the book.
Mama Germanotta continued, "Since the inception of Born This Way Foundation, our team has always placed the experiences and perspectives of young people at the center of our work. I'm thankful to my daughter for being vulnerable and brave in sharing her story, for empowering others to do the same, and for providing youth with a storytelling platform that allows them to feel validated, appreciated, and loved. "These storytellers share how they felt, created safe spaces for LGBTQ+ youth, and embraced kindness with every fiber of their being by helping others without the expectation of anything in return."

"'Channel Kindness' is the embodiment of the everyday acts of kindness that uplift communities and instill a sense of hope in each of us," Lady Gaga told O, The Oprah Magazine. "If these stories inspire one act of kindness, then we've accomplished our mission. We can't do it alone, and here is a book that shows we aren't."
"Channel Kindness" follows several new major projects and recent announcements from Lady Gaga. Following the release of her new upcoming album, Chromatica, out next month (April 10), the 11-time GRAMMY winner will head out on the coinciding international Chromatica Ball Tour in late July. Last week (March 7), she became Apple Music's newest Artist In Residence and launched a curated playlist featuring all-women artists in celebration of International Women's Day.
