Since her latest album Joanne was released in October 2016, life has been a whirlwind ride for Lady Gaga. From her 2017 Super Bowl performance, a world tour, becoming the first woman to headline Wrigley Field in Chicago, filming a remake of A Star Is Born with Bradley Cooper and much more, she's done enough to make anyone need a break. Today, the GRAMMY winner announced she was going to do just that.

Citing needing time to "slow down for a moment for some healing," Gaga said she will take a "rest" from music. She made this announcement while in Toronto for two concerts and the Toronto International Film Festival where her upcoming Netflix documentary, Gaga: Five Foot Two, will premiere.

While Gaga may be giving music a rest, that doesn't mean she's out of the game. It sounds like we can expect fresh creativity from our favorite Fame Monster.

"It doesn't mean I don't have some things up my sleeve," Lady Gaga said.
