European dates for Lady Gaga's Joanne World Tour were scheduled to begin Thursday in Barcelona, Spain and continue through Oct. 28 in Cologne, Germany. Unfortunately, the GRAMMY-winning artist's medical issues are forcing her to take a brief retreat to heal and investigate the mysterious condition of Fibromyalgia.

Gaga's struggle has been very real, and her fans surely know there is nowhere she'd rather be than on stage. Perhaps she says this best in her recent Instagram post:

The Netflix documentary Gaga: Five Foot Two arrives this Friday, Sept. 22 and will give die-hard fans an insight into Gaga's world as she embarks on this next search inside herself.

General expert opinion on Fibromyalgia, although it remains a mysterious malady, is that its onset is only partially about being "born this way," because a predisposition does seem to be hereditary. More women suffer from Fibromyalgia than men and millions of Americans are afflicted by the disease. Tragically, other factors that are likely to trigger the full condition include all the pressures and stresses associated with touring.

New dates for the European tour have not yet been announced. Gaga's North American Tour is still set to begin in November, as scheduled, according to Live Nation.

So as millions hope and pray for Gaga's individual recovery, once again she is in the vanguard, trying to make strides that she will share and progress that will benefit all of us.
