As of Monday afternoon, CBS News has reported that 59 people have died and 527 have been injured as a result of the shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas on the evening of Sunday, Oct. 1.

Recording Academy President/CEO Neil Portnow has issued the following statement:
"The Recording Academy is deeply saddened by the unthinkable tragedy that occurred last night in Las Vegas. As members of the music community, we will come together as we always do in defiance of this senseless act, and provide love and support to those affected. The Recording Academy’s charity, MusiCares, will be working closely with the music industry to provide trauma counseling and support to those in need. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families during this harrowing time."
Additionally, executives at BMG — the label home to Jason Aldean, who was performing during the festival at the time the shooting occurred, have also issued a statement, expressing their condolences to the victims of the shootings.
"We are horrified by the events in Las Vegas overnight and relieved to report that all of our people have escaped uninjured," said BMG CEO BMG CEO Hartwig Masuch. "Too many others were not so fortunate. We send our condolences and best wishes to all of those affected by this dreadful act."
"While our artists and staff are safe, our hearts are broken for those listeners in our extended family who just wanted to share a night of great music and the camaraderie that is the hallmark of country music," said Jon Loba, executive vice president of BBR Music Group.
