On March 19, on the eve of what would have been Chester Bennington's 44th birthday, "Celebrating Chester—A Celebration Of Life" will fill The Regent in Los Angeles with the music of Linkin Park. The concert will be headlined by IN THE END, the L.A.-based Linkin Park tribute band who started the event last year.
The program, which is co-hosted by L.A. event wizards Spaceland Presents, has also partnered with mental health non-profit organization To Write Love on Her Arms and is donating $2 from each ticket sold. The org was founded in 2006 as a movement to help bring hope to those struggling with mental health issues, including suicide attempts; Bennington's life was tragically cut short in July 2017 when he hung himself.
According to their website, it is a "movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire, and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery."
Local L.A. acts Brandon Baumann, The Gutter Daisies and Joshua Ketchmark will also perform at the all-ages show. Tickets are on sale now on Eventbrite.
The band members are, as listed on their Facebook page, Chris Hodges (vocals), Andrew James (bass), Reilly Qyote (vocals/guitar), Yohai Portal (guitar) and Zak St. John (drums).
