Richie broke away from Motown hitmakers the Commodores in 1982, pursuing his solo career with the release of his self-titled album containing The Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit "Truly." Over the next several years, more No. 1 hits followed with "All Night Long (All Night)" in '83, "Hello" in '84 and "Say You, Say Me" in '85. In addition to his star status and reputation for singing, Richie is one of the most successful songwriters of all time.
Tickets for most of Richie's tour stops go on sale on March 29 on his website, with early availability on March 26 for Citi cardholders. Billboard has additional details about the tour stops. With the exception of festival venues, ticket buyers for North American solo performances will receive a copy of Richie's Aug. Live From Las Vegas new album.
