ABC's reboot of the smash-hit singing competition 'American Idol' is coming in March 2018, and big news about the show just keeps rolling in.
Earlier this week, it was announced that Luke Bryan would be joining the show's lineup as a judge, alongside the previously announced Katy Perry.
The next artist to join the lineup, which traditionally consists of three full-time judges, will be none other than four-time GRAMMY winner and 2016 MusiCares Person of the Year honoree Lionel Richie.
"As a singer, songwriter and producer, I feel I can bring a great deal of experience to the table. It’s going to be so much fun!" Richie said in a press release today.
The first season of the rebirthed 'Idol' franchise begins filming next Tuesday, Oct. 3.
