Lollapolooza organizers have announced a virtual festival in lieu of this year's tradiotional in-person event, which is one of so many festivals and events cancelled this summer due to the coronavirus crisis. Lolla2020 will feature new performances and classic sets July 30 - Aug.2 exclusively on YouTube.

The online celbration will feature over 150 performances, including new sets from H.E.R., Kali Uchis, Louis the Child, Alison Wonderland, Vic Mensa, Zhu, and Tank And The Bangas, among others. Lolla2020 will also feature classic sets by LCD Soundsystem, Metallica, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Ellie Goulding, Run The Jewels, Lorde, Alabama Shakes, Tove Lo, Paul McCartney, Chance The Rapper, OutKastArcade Fire and more. Festival organizers also have some special guests, unique programming and a few surprises up their sleeve. Chicago Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot will appear throughout the weekend’s festivities. Lightfoot will host conversations with Lolla founder Perry Farrell and hip-hop legend LL Cool J. Ferrell will also host candid conversations with iconic friends and tastemakers including Metallica's Lars Ulrich, Public Enemy's Chuck D, rock journalist Matt Pinfield and more, according to a statement

The festival has also revealsed Ferrell will also front a trio of special events, including a Kind Heaven Orchestra performance featuring Taylor Hawkins, a David Bowie tribute with pianist Mike Garson, and the first reunion of his band Porno for Pyros in 24 years, with more surprises to come.

Lolla2020 also has a charitable element, raising awareness and funds for worthy causes including Arts for Illinois Relief FundEqual Justice InitiativeWhen We All Vote and others.

The full schedule of performers is slated to drop on July 29, and the online broadcast will air July 30 - Aug.2 for free exclusively on YouTube starting at 6:00 p.m. ET every night.
