GRAMMY-nominated singer/songwriter Marvin Sapp is on a roll. His 11th studio album, Close, has debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Gospel Albums chart, making it his fifth consecutive album to top that chart.

Sapp previously scored gospel chart-toppers with You Shall Live (2015), I Win (2012), Here I Am, and Thirsty (2007) — each of which, with the exception of You Shall Live, received a GRAMMY nomination.

"This music, these songs, are birthed out of my life and testimony," Sapp described Close. "They are my lifeline to God. That God would use me to help provide a lifeline to so many others is remarkable."

Close features collaborations with GRAMMY-winning songwriter Aaron Lindsey as well as production by a trio of GRAMMY winners: Rodney Jerkins ("You And Me Together" featuring Erica Campbell and Izze Williams), Kirk Franklin ("Kind God") and R. Kelly ("Listen").
