Although it seems like Jay-Z gave us a 360-degree view of his life earlier this year with his album 4:44, today's announcement that his management company Roc Nation signed with MelodyVR gives us new perspectives to look forward to.
In addition to Jay-Z, Roc Nation's roster of artists includes J. Cole, DJ Khaled, Kaskade, Vic Mensa, Rihanna, and Shakira, among many others, with full-stack representation covering all angles — publishing, touring, production, and brand development. The CEO of MelodyVR's parent Anthony Matchett said, "As we continue to push the boundaries of immersive entertainment, we look forward to working closely with Roc Nation and their artists."

MelodyVR has deals in place with the major labels and expects to roll out its platform next year, with an initial exclusivity period for VR content it helps bring to life followed by "a period of joint-exploitation." The immersive experience virtual-reality offers is expecting a boost via a big wave of Christmas VR gear hitting the marketplace. This Roc Nation deal enhances MelodyVR's hopes to ride into the U.S. mainstream next year, surfing on top of that wave.
