The electronic music world is tackling the climate crisis with beats and bass this weekend with a massive online event set to become the largest global back-to-back DJ set to date. The third annual EARTH NIGHT, "a global initiative harnessing the power of music and nightlife to celebrate and raise money for climate action," according to the event's website, will see more than 100 artists from across +50 cities worldwide performing a live marathon B2B DJ set.

Presented by DJs For Climate Action (DJs4CA), a collective of DJs that aims to "harness the influence of dance music and DJ culture to power climate solutions and generate action," according to its website, EARTH NIGHT 2020 will feature sets from top electronic artists and DJs, including Soul Clap, Blond:ish, Doorly, Louisahhh, Nickodemus and many others.

The day-long event will stream live on the official EARTH NIGHT website and Twitch channel Sunday (April 26) from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST. Watch the livestream below.

According to the EARTH NIGHT website, the event will see each participating DJ play a single track and then pass the "virtual baton" to the next artist in line somewhere around the world.

The global B2B livestream is part of a series of EARTH NIGHT-affiliated virtual events taking place April 24-26.

EARTH NIGHT 2020 was originally planned as a series of weekend parties in nightclubs around the world in honor of this year's Earth Day, which celebrates its 50th anniversary today (April 22). The event has since gone virtual due to the global concert industry shutdown caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Last year, the series comprised eight global events that attracted 3,000 people. The organization released a 60-track compilation last April that raised $20,000 for beneficiaries working toward climate solutions.
