The biggest week of the year in the Americana community is quickly approaching. The 18th annual AmericanaFest runs Sept. 12–17 and is highlighted by the Americana Music Awards and Honors on Sept.13 in Nashville, Tenn.

Ahead of the festivities, the country's premier Americana festival and conference has announced a dynamic slew of performers, including GRAMMY winners Van Morrison, Graham Nash, John Prine, Lori McKenna, Marty Stuart, Joe Henry, Jason Isbell, Rhiannon Giddens, Robert Cray, Rodney Crowell, and Old Crow Medicine Show, as well as GRAMMY nominees the Lumineers, Billy Bragg andIris DeMent.
As Nashville continues to grow and diversify its musical landscape and the Americana genre continues to proliferate around the world, AmericanaFest leads the way in gathering and honoring these great artists.
According to the festival's site, "AmericanaFest brings together legendary artists, the next generation of rising stars, fans, and industry professionals for six days of music and education."
Americana Music Awards and Honors nominees and Lifetime Achievement honorees were announced in June. GRAMMY winner Sturgil Simpson leads the pack with three nominations.
