One of the nation's top festivals, Forecastle began in 2002 with changes in venue to accommodate what has swelled to more than 75,000 fans who like their music and their environmental activism together.
Kentucky-born Chris Stapleton's humbly titled 2017 album From A Room: Volume 1 earned three GRAMMY nominations for the 60th GRAMMY Awards. Like Stapleton, Arcade Fire are also GRAMMY winners and bring their family-spun, Montreal indie-rock to Forecastle, while alt-rockers Modest Mouse make the lineup soar with the weightless spirit embodied in their 2004 classic "Float On" from their GRAMMY-nominated album Good News For People Who Love Bad News.

Other acts giving a small taste of the big line-up include Courtney Barnett, Father John Misty, Jason Isbell, Jimmy Eat World, Vic Mensa, T-Pain, and Kurt Vile. Various festival ticket packages go on sale via Forecastle's website on Jan. 19.
