Though his future music career is in flux, André 3000 is keeping busy.

The GRAMMY winner has landed a starring role in an upcoming science-fiction film, High Life, according to Variety

Also starring Robert Pattinson and Juliette Binoche, the plot of High Life revolves around the lives of prison convicts who are able to eradicate their sentences if they agree to take a dangerous journey into space. The film will be directed by Claire Denis.

André 3000's previous acting roles include work on TV shows such as "The Shield" and "American Crime," a role in 2005's Four Brothers alongside Mark Wahlberg and Tyrese Gibson, and his portrayal of Jimi Hendrix in 2013's Jimi: All Is By My Side

As far as new music, in an interview with Complex in August, André 3000 revealed that he is spending his time taking music theory classes and learning new instruments. But he's in search of something different.

"I still love music, but I'm trying to find that deeper thing," he said. "The older I get, it's really more about comfort, personal happiness, and understanding."
